Lighthouse Tours 2013

The Northern and Southern Lighthouse tours co-sponsored with Boston Harbor Cruises will continue to enthrall lighthouse enthusiasts and photographers.

Lighthouse Tours depart from One Long Wharf, Boston Harbor Cruises.  Closest T stop is Aquarium on the Blue Line. Depart at 10am return at 3pm.
PURCHASING TICKETS:

Please purchase your tickets via FBHI (on our home page)  or by sending a check with a notation as to which tours you would like 12 days prior to the scheduled trip.  $45 bounced check fee.  FBHI 30 Shipyard Drive #202, Hingham MA 02043-1601. 

Buy your tickets ONLINE you will have several ticketing options (print yourself, mailed to your address, smart phone receipt, will-call).


Boston Light Tours

In participation with the National Park Service.Cruise from Boston's  Boston Harbor Islands Pavilion, 191w Atlantic Avenue Boston, MA 02110 to visit the site of the oldest lighthouse in the country.

This three-hour adventure begins with a forty-five minute narrated tour on a comfortable vessel through the Boston Harbor Islands, where you will experience the rich maritime history of the islands with a park ranger. You will view the two other historic lighthouses of Boston Harbor:   Long Island Light and The Graves Light.  Disembark at Little Brewster Island to visit the first and oldest lighthouse station in the United States, and the last to retain a U.S. Coast Guard keeper. Climb the 76 steps (and two ladders) up Boston Light's tower and see the historic Fresnel lens.  Bring a lunch while you enjoy a unique and unforgettable view of Boston Harbor. Tours depart from the Boston Harbor Island Pavilion on the Rose Kennedy Greenway, at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and State Street, across from Quincy Market.

Tours run, weather permitting - June 15 to September 30 

Schedule—Tour schedules are subject to sudden changes or cancellations due to marine conditions. Providing your cell phone and email address when purchasing tickets will allow Rangers to contact you in the event of a cancellation. Buying Tickets—Tours often sell out in advance. We recommend booking tickets early. See "More" below to check availability and buy tickets.

Transportation & Parking—The Boston Harbor Islands Pavilion is convenient to public transportation. Aquarium State (on the Blue Line) is directly across the Street on the Rose Kennedy Greenway.  South Station (on the Red Line and Commuter Rail) is an 15-20 minute walk. On weekends only, the International Place parking garage charges $9.00 per day, visitors can also request a voucher from a ranger at the Pavilion to make it a $7.00 fee.  Visitors will be asked for their I.D. when parking here.  There are several more  parking lots nearby on Atlantic Avenue, in the North End, and at the Aquarium, and all are within a 2-15 minute walk; fees vary.
