The Friends now offer the convenience of ordering tickets online through Wainwright Bank & Trust which is our bank. You may also renew your membership and purchase Friends sales items through this online capability. It's easy. Follow these steps:

on M/V Culebra (beach landing) **

M/V Culebra is a bow-loading boat with disembarkation (for Saturday Excursions and Boston Light Adventures) by ladder onto the beach. As this requires some agility, these Culebra trips may not be suitable for the handicapped.

Peddocks Island

Saturday October 11, 11am - 4pm
Sand spits link the five drumlins making up this island. Fort Andrews in the east overlooks the waters of Hull Gut. Cottages and a salt marsh occupy the middle, while West Head is a conservation area.

We’ll pass the lights of Boston Harbor then cruise north for close-up views of the lighthouses at Hospital Point, Fort Pickering, Ten Pound Island, Marblehead, Gloucester Breakwater, Eastern Point and Bakers Island. The Twin Lights on Thacher Island will be our farthest destination. On the way back we’ll view Boston Light and Graves Light. Full narration throughout. Snack bar on board. Dress warmly and be prepared for changeable weather.

Celebrating 29 years of service, the Volunteers and Friends of the Boston Harbor Islands, Inc. is a non-profit organization encouraging public use of the Boston Harbor Islands, protection of their fragile ecosystems and historic environment. Our members provide services to the national park area through volunteer programs, public education projects and advocacy efforts.
